Large Axed Shrink Pot #30

Large pot approx 19.5cm tall (15cm to lid) with a 8.5cm opening

Birch body with reclaimed oak lid

Shaped by axe and knife, scorched with fire, burnished Milk Paint and a light coating of Hard wax oil

The lid is secured with a cork insert. Due to the nature of working with greenwood the pots opening warps as it dries. This allows the lid to drop into place, then a simple twist locks it shut keeping the contents nice and airtight. Please do not overtighten and its advisable to open the pots every now and again if they are not in daily use.

The interior is left unfinished so not to impair any foodstuffs. Perfect for dry goods, such as tea, coffee, herbs and spices
